our work
CAWN works in solidarity with women’s organisations in Central America, supporting them to defend their rights; fostering links, exchanges and capacity building between women’s organisations in the United Kingdom and Central America; and raising awareness of the concerns of Central American women among the public, Non-governmental Organisations (NGOs) and policy makers, especially in relation to women’s economic rights and gender-based violence.
CAWN focuses its work on two main areas: violence against women and economic rights and trade. Please follow the links at the left for more information.
