our work
CAWN works in solidarity with women’s organisations in Central America, supporting them to defend their rights, fostering links between women’s organisations in the United Kingdom and Central America and raising awareness of the concerns of Central American women amongst the public, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and policy makers.
CAWN focuses its work on two main areas: violence against women and economic rights and trade.
As part of our work on violence against women, we have developed an online toolkit that showcases examples of good practice of implementing intersectionality approaches in the field. It is also available in CD-ROM format, please contact info@cawn.org for a copy.
